Difference between temperature fuse and temperature controller

Temperature fuse, scientific name: thermal fuse link, text name: thrmallink/termalfuse/thermalfuse/thermalthetf. It is a one-time action without resetting device, which is used for thermal protection of equipment to avoid one or more parts of equipment reaching dangerous temperature. The abnormal temperature rise of the protected electrical equipment is transmitted to the thermal fuse. When the temperature of the thermal fuse reaches the fusing temperature, the fusing temperature of the thermal fuse rises abnormally and the circuit is cut off. After the cut-off temperature drops, the temperature fuse no longer conducts.

There are two kinds of temperature fuses: alloy type and organic type. According to its structural characteristics, the shell of alloy thermal fuse is made of insulating material, which can directly contact other protective components. Organic shell is made of metal, and should be insulated preferentially when in use. The current range of alloy type thermal fuse is 1A-200A, and that of organic type thermal fuse is mainly 10A 16A due to its structural characteristics.
 
The temperature controller is a kind of temperature regulating device, which protects the heat generated when the temperature of electrical equipment rises from being transferred to the bimetal part. When the preset operating temperature is reached, the bimetal part will act quickly and the contact will cut off the circuit. When the temperature drops to the rated reset temperature, the bimetal component recovers and is electrified again.
 
The difference between temperature fuse and temperature controller is explained as follows
When the temperature of electrical equipment is abnormally high, the temperature controller can only temporarily cut off the circuit, and then turn on the circuit again after the temperature drops to continue heating. Without intervention, there is a risk that electrical equipment will catch fire.
 
When the circuit is abnormal, the temperature fuse can permanently cut off the circuit until the circuit abnormality is eliminated, and then replace it with the same specification (same current and same temperature). This feature is especially important to prevent household appliances from drying.
