Thermal fuse, also known as temperature fuse, is an irreversible overheating safety element. Widely used in rice cookers, motors, washing machines, electric fans, power transformers and other electronic products. Temperature fuses can be divided into low melting point alloy fuses, low melting point alloy fuses, organic compound temperature fuses and plastic metal temperature fuses.

Temperature fuse function:
(1) The temperature sensor of low melting point alloy thermal fuse is made of alloy material with fixed melting point. When the temperature reaches the melting point of the alloy, the temperature sensor will be blown automatically and disconnected by the protection circuit. According to the structure, low melting point alloy thermal fuse can be divided into gravity type, surface tension type and spring reaction type. Low melting point alloy temperature fuse.
(2) Organic compound thermal fuse is composed of temperature sensor, movable electrode, spring, etc. The temperature sensor is made of organic compounds with high purity and low melting point. Generally, the movable electrode is in contact with the fixed terminal. Connected by circuit fuse. When the temperature reaches the melting point, the temperature sensor is blown automatically, and the movable electrode is disconnected from the fixed end point under the action of the spring, so that the circuit is disconnected for protection.
(3) Plastic metal thermal fuse adopts surface tension structure, and the resistance value of temperature sensitive body is almost zero. When the working temperature reaches the set temperature, the resistance value of the temperature sensor suddenly increases to prevent the current from passing through.
