As we all know, when choosing fuses, we should not only consider the factors such as circuit working current, voltage and plate space, but also consider the working environment temperature of plate. The current of the same fuse will be different in different working environments. The normal operating temperature range of the plug-in self-recovery fuse is-40 C ~+85 C, so today we will look at this temperature reduction ratio.

Generally speaking, the maintenance current of fuse is the current at room temperature and 25°C working environment temperature. If the working environment temperature of the circuit works in the daily environment, then we don't have to consider this temperature discount ratio.
When the working environment temperature is relatively high, reaching above 40°C, this temperature reduction should be considered. When the working temperature of PTC plug-in self-recovery fuse of Jidiantong brand is 40°C, the reduction ratio of fuse holding current is 88%. When the working temperature is 50°C, the reduction ratio of holding current of fuse is 80%. When the working temperature is 60℃, the reduction ratio of fuse holding current is 71%. When the working temperature is 70℃, the reduction ratio of fuse holding current is 66%. When the working temperature is 85°C, the discount rate of fuse holding current is 56%. This means that the holding current of the fuse will be lower than the normal temperature under the high temperature working environment.
When the working environment temperature is relatively low and below 0 C, this temperature reduction problem should be considered. When the working temperature of plug-in self-recovery fuse is 0 C, the reduction ratio of fuse holding current is 120%. When the working temperature is-20 C, the reduction ratio of fuse holding current is 130%. When the working temperature is-40 C, the reduction ratio of fuse holding current is 145%. This means that the holding current of the fuse will be higher than that of normal temperature at low working environment temperature.
