LANSON, as a benchmark enterprise in the field of circuit protection components in China, has a history of industrial upgrading from OEM to independent innovation. Since its establishment in 1996, the company has always focused on the field of overcurrent protection devices. Through material innovation, process iteration, and vertical integration, it has gradually broken the monopoly of international giants and grown into a "hidden champion" in the global fuse industry.
1、 Technology Foundation and OEM Start (1996-2005)
In 1996, Liu Liangsheng founded Liangsheng Electronics in Shenzhen, entering the segmented field of fuses monopolized by Bussmann and Littelfuse. In the early days, the company focused on the research and development of glass tube fuses, achieved domestic production of fuse materials through independent formulas, and mass-produced 1/4-inch diameter products in 2000, breaking the technological blockade of international manufacturers. In 2003, Liangsheng became a supplier to Midea and entered the home appliance market. In 2005, the shipment volume of fuses exceeded 500 million, establishing a leading position in the domestic market.
2、 Technological breakthroughs and global expansion (2006-2015)
In 2007, Liangsheng launched the "miniaturization+high reliability" dual wheel drive strategy:
Miniaturization: In 2009, the world's first 0603 size patch fuse was developed, with a thickness of only 0.3mm, suitable for use in smartphones and wearable devices.
High reliability: In 2012, the pulse resistant fuse was launched and passed 100000 pulse tests, entering the industrial control field.
In 2015, the company's fuse products entered Huawei's supply chain, and its global market share increased to 8%, forming a market pattern of "European and American manufacturers focusing on high-end products, and Liangsheng covering the mid-range".
3、 Vertical integration and diversified layout (2016-2020)
In 2016, Liangsheng launched a vertical integration strategy of "materials devices modules":
Material side: independently developed alloy fuse materials, reducing raw material costs by 30%.
Device side: Expand self recovering fuses (PPTC), temperature fuses (TCO), covering consumer electronics and automotive electronics.
Module end: Launch power protection modules and battery management modules to enter the new energy vehicle and energy storage markets.
In 2018, the company built the world's first 0201 fuse fully automatic production line, with a single line production capacity of 2 million pieces per day. In 2020, the global market share of Liangsheng fuses reached 12%, becoming the third largest supplier in the world, and the automotive electronics business accounted for over 25%.
4、 Intelligent cars and high-end breakthroughs (2021 present)
In the face of the wave of automotive electrification, Liangsheng focuses on three major directions:
Automotive grade fuses: Developed high temperature resistant (150 ℃) and anti vibration (military grade) products, certified by AEC-Q200, applied to BYD and Tesla battery management systems.
New type of fuse: Introducing surface mount (SMD) fuses, covering 5G base station and satellite communication scenarios.
Modular solution: integrating fuses, sensors, and controllers, providing a vehicle power management module with an efficiency of 95%.
In 2023, the proportion of R&D investment in Liangsheng will increase to 8%, and an automotive electronics dedicated line will be built in Ningbo. The Changzhou factory will be put into operation in 2024, and the production capacity of automotive grade products will be expanded threefold. The company is synchronously laying out in the field of new energy and jointly developing power battery protection solutions with CATL and BYD.
5、 Core competitiveness and industry status
The competitive advantage of Liangsheng Electronics is reflected in three dimensions:
Materials Science: Independently develop alloy fuse materials to achieve precise control of fuse characteristics.
Precision manufacturing: The stacking accuracy of 0201 fuse reaches ± 1 μ m, and the thin film process achieves nanoscale circuit control.
Vertical integration: Control the entire process from fuse materials to protection modules to ensure product consistency and delivery efficiency.
By 2025, the global market share of Liangsheng fuses will reach 15%, ranking second in the world, and the automotive electronics and industrial control fields will account for over 50%. The company is driving towards its annual sales target of 5 billion yuan with the dual wheel drive of "material innovation+intelligent manufacturing", continuously consolidating its leadership position in the circuit protection component industry.
